Chronic pancreatitis is without definitive treatment. Non-surgical modalities include behavioral modifications, pharmacologic interventions and endoscopic procedures to palliate symptoms. These are often ineffective when the disease progresses at which point surgery has been proven to be the modality of choice. We present a biliary bypass and a Puestow procedure performed using robot-assisted laparoscopy. A laparoscopic approach affords the patient the potential for decreased morbidity. The surgical robot allows procedures, which are often too challenging for a HPB surgeons using traditional laparoscopic techniques. Our case demonstrates the feasibility and safety of this procedure.
