Laparoscopic Assisted Total Gastrectomy with D2 Dissection and Roux-En-Y J Pouch

The extent of dissection and best reconstruction methods with total gastrectomy for gastric cancer are controversial. Laparoscopic assisted gastrectomy is popular in Japan, but is less commonly used in the United States. In this video, we present a laparoscopic assisted total gastrectomy with D2 dissection and Roux-En-Y J pouch reconstruction on a 49 year old female with stage 1B (T2N0) gastric cancer who had undergone neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
