Central Pancreatectomy with Pancreaticogastrostomy: Open and Laparoscopic Approaches
Laureano FernáNdez-Cruz*
Surgery, Hospital Clínic, Barcelona, Spain

Central prancreatectomy (CP) was described for benign lesions of the neck or proximal body of pancreas. Recent studies reported the efficacy of pancreaticogastrostomy with gastric partition (P-GP) as alternative method of reconstruction after pylorus-preserving pancreaticoduodenectomy.CP with PG-GP reconstruction was performed using open and laparoscopic approaches. Open approach was indicated in a patient with an endocrine tumor on right side of neck of pancreas. Laparoscopic approach was performed in a patient with an endocrine tumor on the neck of pancreas.
