Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy has rapidly become the procedure of choice for morbid obesity. We have utilized our considerable experience in natural orifice translumenal endoscopic surgery (NOTES) to develop techniques which will eliminate the potential complications of transabdominal organ extraction. Here we demonstrate the world's first case of the unisex approach to transoral remnant extraction or TORE.
