61y/o male with HBV-related liver cirrhosis developed a tiny HCC in a deep area of S8c which cannot be detected by ultrasonography 15 years after open posterior sectionectomy. After the CT-simulation with ZIO station REVORAS, S8c small anatomical laparoscopic liver resection using the postural change during the surgery from supine to left lateral was planned.
The video of the surgery is shown.
Preoperative simulation using the reconstruction image from CT scan and intraoperative navigation using ICG-fluorescence were very useful for complicated procedures such as present case, a S8c small anatomical LLR for a deep tiny HCC without detection by ultrasonography after Open Post sectionectomy.
