Here we showcase our technique for removal of a gastric neurostimulator and its leads. The patient is a 22-year-old female with a history of gastroparesis who had previously undergone gastric neurostimulator placement. Even though the patient tolerated the procedure well, she presented to the emergency department with abdominal pain multiple times in the same month. The decision was made to remove the stimulator after pain medications, device adjustment, and turning off the device did not relieve symptoms. The patient tolerated the procedure well and was discharged home the same day. She has not reported any complications since the procedure.
