LAPAROSCOPIC SUBTOTAL GASTRECTOMY WITH D2 LYMPHADENECTOMY FOR CARCINOMA STOMACH

Patient was a 65-year-old male with abdominal pain for one month, vomiting for three days, Malena for three days, Loss of appetite and weight. On examination, the abdomen was soft, non-tender, no palpable mass and no clinical evidence of metastases. Upper GI endoscopy showed an ulcer-proliferative growth in the antro-pyloric region. Biopsy report was moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma. CECT revealed asymmetric wall thickening in the antro-pyloric region with loss of fat plane with GB and multiple per-gastric lymph nodes. Patient underwent laparoscopic subtotal gastrectomy with D2 lymphadenectomy. Post-operative course was uneventful, and was discharged on POD5.
