ROBOTIC DISTAL GASTRECTOMY WITH D2 LYMPHADENECTOMY
Ali Ahmad*, Mark G. Hall
Surgical Oncology, University of Kansas School of Medicine Wichita, Wichita, KS

We present a case of a middle aged female patient with gastric adenocarcinoma of the pre-pyloric distal stomach. After completion of neoadjuvant systemic chemotherapy, she was staged and found to be an appropriate candidate for robotic distal gastrectomy. Our video demonstrates the technique for performing robotic distal gastrectomy with D2 lymphadenectomy. Roux-en-Y gastro-jejunostomy reconstruction was completed. Adequate oncologic lymphadenectomy can be challenging via minimally invasive surgical (MIS) approach, however the robotic approach offers excellent visualization and control to accomplish this task. Patient recovered without issues and had an uneventful hospital stay.
