Esophageal diverticula implicate a rare disorder, often presenting with dysphagia, regurgitation, and chest pain. Classically, esophageal diverticula are classified into pulsion-type (Zenker's and epiphrenic), Traction-type (Rokitansky) or iatrogenic. As minimally invasive endoscopic procedures, like third space endoscopic procedures, have comparable efficacy to surgery and lower complication rates, they are becoming more and more popular for treating pulsion-type and iatrogenic diverticula. Herein, we demonstrate the endoscopic management techniques of different types of esophageal diverticula including Zenker's, epiphrenic, achalasia-related and post-Nissen fundoplication diverticula.
