The 2014 SSAT Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Course, "The General Surgeon Performing GI Surgery: Current Management of Benign and Malignant Foregut Diseases", will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, during the 55th Annual Meeting and in conjunction with DDW. This year’s course will focus on the management of diseases of the stomach and esophagus as well as bariatric surgery. This course will explore the evidence that supports the management of these disorders, and experts will provide a “How I Do It” approach to their subject areas. The format will be a mix of didactic sessions, a video session with experts providing commentary, a debate, and finally a session where experts will discuss the management of common and not so common clinical problems in a case-based format. Each participant will be required to complete both a pre- and post-course test prior to claiming either CME Credits with Self-Assessment (good towards fulfilling Part 2 Maintenance of Certification requirements for surgeons) or Certificates of Attendance. Supplement your Annual Meeting registration by signing up for the 2014 MOC Course, for which SSAT members receive preferred rates. Register for the SSAT MOC Course through the DDW Website by the Early Bird deadline and avoid a 50 USD increase in MOC Course registration fees. You may also register for just the SSAT MOC Course, and Early Bird registration is complimentary for Candidate SSAT members.
