ESD is a surgical procedure performed with an endoscope and an electrosurgical knife that is used to systematically detach sessile polyps after first establishing a mucosal lift. The only means of exposing dissection planes are gravity and the dissection cap. With the use of a colonic overtube device with independent instrument channels it is possible to retract the cut edge of the target disc with a grasper which facilitates ESD. There is a learning curve and challenges associated with the device. Our abstract addresses these unique challenges and provide solutions so that operators will have a better understanding of the device.
