LAPAROSCOPIC REPAIR OF TRAUMATIC DIAPHRAGMATIC HERNIA PRESENTING 4 YEARS AFTER PENETRATING INJURY

22 y.o male presented as a transfer for a diaphragmatic hernia with incarcerated colon Patient had a history of gun shot wound 4 years prior to presentation and that time he underwent Exploratory Laparotomy with splenectomy and thoracotomy with Lower lobe Wedge Resection of the left lung. Patient had worsening LUQ abdominal pain, chest pain, an increasing shortness of breath for the past month Obstipation over the last 7 days with n/v On CT scan he was found to have an incarcerated left diaphragmatic hernia with signs of obstruction. The patient was taken to OR and underwent repair of these 2 hernias with a mesh covering both of them.
