MODIFIED APPLEBY WITH RADICAL ANTEGRADE MODULAR PANCREATOSPLENECTOMY FOR ADENOCARCINOMA OF THE BODY OF THE PANCREAS

Extended Kocher's maneuver was performed with No.16 LNs clearance. After dissection of the greater omentum and tunnel dissection of SMV. Subsequently, No. 8/12a station of lymph nodes were mobilized along with skeletonization of common hepatic artery and then the neck of the pancreas was divided by stapler. CHA and CA were divided with clearance of No. 7 LNs. Accordingly, the splenic vein was divided and continuous sutured with 5/0 Prolene suture. The retropancreatic soft tissues alongwith the left adrenal gland above the posterior dissection plane which extended left along the left renal vein toward the renal hilum were removed en-bloc.
