CENTRAL HEPATECTOMY FOR PERI-HILAR CHOLANGIOCARCINOMA
Xiangcheng Li*
The first affiliated hospital with nanjing medical university, Nanjing, China

This video showed central hepatectomy for Bismuth type IV perihilar cholangiocarcinoma (PICC). In this procedure, the segments I, IV,V and VIII were resection . The left lateral bile duct (B 2/3) and right posterior bile duct (B 6/7) were transected at U and P point respectively. There was no complication in the post-operative period and no tumor recurrence was noted in the follow-up period. Our results showed that central hepatectomy was safely and feasibly curative procedure for PICC. Compared to extensive right or left trisectionectomy, this procedure can avoid unnecessary sacrifice of functional liver parenchyma and achieve adequate resection margin.
